It's always an honor and a privilege to move historic houses and buildings to preserve history. We enjoyed doing just that when we moved the historic Roberts House in Piedmont, Alabama! Built in the late 1800's, this historic house was moved for the Piedmont Historical Society. This move was featured on the Anniston Star.

Habitat for Humanity Move

Habitat for Humanity Move

Ascend Performance Materials, together with Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County and Majestic Homes worked hard to build this house at the Ascend plant. Hollis Kennedy House Movers moved this house from the Ascend plant to its new home. Decatur Utilities, Joe Wheeler EMC, and Temple Electric raised wires during the move. This move was featured on Decatur Daily.com with pictures and a video of the move.

Mars Chapel Move

Mars Chapel Move

In 2002, Hollis Kennedy House Movers moved Mars Chapel, a 325 ton limestone rock church with a concrete floor, from Main Street to Pleasant Run Park in Pulaski, Tennessee. It is used as a Trail of Tears Memorial. This move was featured in the September 2003 edition of the Structural Mover Magazine.

Coca-Cola Humphreys-Rodgers Move

Coca-Cola Humphreys-Rodgers Move

The 140 year old Coca-Cola Humphreys-Rodgers House was moved from downtown Huntsville to the Constitution Hall Village by Hollis Kennedy House Movers in 1991. This move was featured in the Huntsville Times and December 1991 edition of the Structural Mover Magazine.

The French House Move

The French House Move

The French House was built in 1928 by the French family. In 1995, it was relocated by Hollis Kennedy House Movers to make room for the Athens Walmart. This move was featured in the February 1997 edition of the House and Building Move Magazine.

Bridge Beams Move

In 1991, two bridge beams were moved for Max and Mike Garrison from Huntsville, Alabama to gain access to a large farm. Each bridge beam measured 5 ft. wide, 5 ft. tall, and 132 ft. long. This moved was featured in the 1991 November-December edition of the House and Building Mover Magazine.

Log House Move to Burritt Museum

Log House Move to Burritt Museum

Built in 1840, this log house was moved from West Limestone to Burritt on the Mountain. This move was featured in the Huntsville Times on July 8, 1993.

Alabama Princess Move

Alabama Princess Move

Featured in the Gadsden Times, the Alabama Princess was moved from Guntersville to Gadsden in 1992. This 21 ft. wide and 82 ft. long vessel was later moved for a second time back to Guntersville, Alabama.

EOC's Roof Raise

Hollis Kennedy House Movers raised the roof of the Emergency Operations Center in Athens, Alabama. Featured in the Athens News Courier, this roof was raised to add room for equipment needed in emergency situations.

Featured in the Athens News Courier in 1984, this 2,000 sq. ft., two-story house was moved in two pieces.

Old Southern Plantation Move

Old Southern Plantation Move

The Old Southern Plantation was moved in Fayetteville, Tennessee on December 30, 1983. Built around 1915, this 65 ft. wide by 65 ft. long, plantation home was moved 1,000 feet. The House and Building Mover Magazine featured this move in the November-December 1984 edition.
